A number of U.S. states are planning to legalize marijuana. Do you agree or disagree with this policy, and why?
Seeing that there are much worse drugs out there which are perfectly legal (and I'm not talking about stuff that is pescribe to you by your doctor) I'm all for it. It doesn't make sense to have a terrible drug like alcohol (yes alcohol is a drug for you uneducated types) legal yet have a drug just as bad if not more mild (marijuana) be illegal. If anything making it legal will likely reduce the taboo surrounding it (which will make teens less likely to want to use it because its "edgy") as well as possibly create a market similar to alcohol and tobacco at this time.
I agree that marijuana is NOT GOOD FOR YOU HEALTH IN GENERAL but if were going to keep it illegal for that reason then we should also ban other similarily dangerous products (alcohol and tobacco) for that reason. Double standards do not make sense and should never be supported by law, that's all I'm saying.
